I met my husband while I was a missionary in Hong Kong. He had swum out of China after the Cultural Revolution. We have been married 32 years and have four children (2 biological and 2 adopted), ages 22-30. My mother also lives with us (she just turned 90). I am truly a blessed woman.

It is good to give thanks

Psalm 92:1-5 - "It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night, to the music of the lute and the harp, to the melody of the lyre. For you, O LORD, have made me glad by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy. How great are your works, O LORD!"

Violet, the book came! :) Thank you, it is so gorgeous, and we are all enjoying it already. What a well organized, comforting, encouraging way to read Scripture.

I'm so glad you got the book. I know you will love it. I am always amazed at how well it fits my particular set of circumstances for that specific day. It just proves again the all-sufficiency and relevance of God's Word.

Thanks for your prayers for our family. Kara is getting another cold, but other than that we are doing pretty well. How about your family? Keep me posted.
